it is so good, i had to share... why don't you all post your favourite smoothies too!
big handful of kale
tablespoon of cacao nibs
tablespoon of hemp hearts
teaspoon coconut butter
one banana
5 strawberries
and if you have it
tablespoon green whole food powder
teaspoon antioxidant oil blend
it is so nice and green, and the cacao nibs make it feel like such a treat.
i am in heaven, and surely never want to leave!
thank you for reading.
love you all!

Re: morning smoothie
Wed, May 28, 2008 - 12:17 AMok so how exactly do you drink this?
since it has no wet ingredients, it seems like it would just turn into mush.
sounds good, but did you leave out the juice or milk or water or something? -

Re: morning smoothie
Fri, June 6, 2008 - 11:34 AMmine comes out different every time... usually consisting of what i've got in the kitchen. I also "cook" like my grandma- I never measure anything... pinch, dash, splash...
here's an example:
banana
a few strawberries
a shake of raw, unsweet coconut
some of the almond paste leftover from making milk
a spoonful of either tahini or other nut butter
a little spirulina
almond milk to make it smooth
agave if it isn't sweet enough.
Cacao powder (or carob) if I want it more snack-y -

Re: morning smoothie
Sun, June 22, 2008 - 12:58 AMi think i've posted this somewhere already...
fresh almond milk
sometimes apple or orange juice if i have it
banana
1/2 mango, papaya, peach or a few apricots (basically something orange and squishy)
green leaves of some sort (chard, kale, spinach...)
strawberries, or pineapple
Pure Synergy powder
2T cacao nibs (essential!)
If i didn't have any juice to add, then water plus 2 dates & some cashews
i've been making a double or triple portion smoothie in the morning, and i bottle up what i don't drink for breakfast. Then i have more of it in a couple of hours so by 3pm all i've had is smoothie and maybe one of those Organic Food bars that are now my #1 favorite snack.
The morning smoothie ritual has become one of the high points of my day. isn't that great? Starting the day with a high point? not that the day gets worse, because i get to drink my smoothie again later.
