I bought a head of broccoli yesterday and made a promise to myself I'd actually eat it and not let it go bad. I work at a pub, so I'm constantly surrounded by people filling themselves with deep fried meat ("Yes, instead of mushrooms, can you substitute bacon?" one customer asked me. I wanted to ask him if he'd rather I just inject the fat directly to his veins)
Anyway, after work I came home late and was starving. I cut up some broccoli, a little sweet red pepper, avocado, almonds, and sweet snow peas and added a little salad dressing. Viola, a wonderful raw meal to delight the senses. Enjoy!

Re: great dinner
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 2:17 PMthere is so much info on how everything we eat is bad for us...I think what it comes down to is seeing what is right for your body and going with that. Your body will tell you what foods are bad for you.
I looove sunflower seeds. -

Re: great dinner
Fri, July 11, 2008 - 2:59 AMIt seems like a lot of people have bodies that tell that that its fine to eat hamburgers with bacon on them multiple times in a single day served with fried and battered potatoes, a tall glass of soda, and various dry crunchy starches all day long. Im not sure that following your cravings is the best way to determine how healthy something is.
I love Balsamic vinegar, but I would prefer to find some that doesnt contain lead.

Re: great dinner
Fri, July 11, 2008 - 11:53 AMI don't follow cravings. There is a difference between a craving and your body saying "Hey! I need some spinach right now!". -

Re: great dinner
Fri, July 11, 2008 - 12:42 PMI think we partially train our bodies to want healthy food. I also think its partially in the mind. Some peoples bodies are addicted to crap. They might feel better after eating healthy food but might not put too much thought into the connection.
