Alright…I can't believe I've never been to this place before, but on Commercial Drive in Vancouver there is a vegan cafe called Truffles Cafe, and half their stuff is raw, and absolutely delicious. I had Pad Thai, made from a coconut sauce on spiral cut yam, with a little pepper, broccoli, and red pepper. It was probably the most delicious meal I've had in a really long time (and pretty!). After eating the meal, I decided I wanted to learn more about being raw, so here I am, and I wanted to tell anyone in the Vancouver area about this fabulous cafe. (1025 Commercial Drive)

Fri, April 25, 2008 - 2:55 PMI was last there in 98. Has it really changed that much, or was it a symptom of my starry eyed youth?

Fri, April 25, 2008 - 11:09 AMAny place will be fantastic if you feel at home and have good friends to adventure with. Being in Vancouver has been the loneliest stretch of time in my life, not to mention how I am neither a frog nor a duck, and don't like getting rained on every day, and when it doesn't rain the cloud cover makes me feel sick. I'm also not a sardine and do not enjoy the crowdedness…but that's just me and I'm sure if I was part of a community here I would have enjoyed it more.
